Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: FakenhamSalary: 26–30k

Responsibilities

• Develop customised products for a small, friendly company dealing in an international marketplace.
• Create overall design and assembly drawings to define customer requirements.
• Generate detailed manufacturing drawings for internal or external production.
• Create BOM for special products and procurement as required.
• Customer liaison for projects.
• Liaise with Workshop Supervisor to ensure projects are fulfilled on time.
• Continuously improve existing products.

Key Skills

• A sound background in mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of mechanisms, fabricated assemblies and sheet metalwork.
• The ability to quickly and effectively design customised variants from a standard product range.
• The ability to prioritise workload and deal efficiently with multiple projects.

Other Skills

• Good working knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD or similar.
• Ability to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on time.
• Working knowledge of Machinery Standards and relevant legislation.
• Ability to work as part of a small team.
• Excellent communication skills.
