Role Purpose And Key Responsibilities
Role Purpose
You will be responsible and accountable for the shop and the team in the absence of the Shop Manager such as operating and running the Shop and managing the Shop team effectively. The day to day of the role will be to assist the Shop Manager and team with the smooth running of the store ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the day whilst accepting and paying out bets and delivering excellent customer service. The role encompasses the duty of opening and closing the business and in the absence of the Shop Manager you will be responsible to manage the operations of the shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the shop and the shop team.
- Lead from the front in managing the operation and running of the shop and team, including being responsible for:
- Opening and closing the shop.
- Managing and guiding the shop team.
- Cash management procedures.
- Managing and utilizing the company time and attendance system whilst ensuring adherence from the shop team using the system.
- Leading by example and driving the team to keep and maintain shop presentation standards.
- Act as a clear communicator by actively encouraging colleagues to share ideas on how to improve processes.
- Stay focused on shop results to help identify opportunities, getting the team to work at high standards together.
- Provide outstanding customer experience.
- Educate and guide the team to deliver excellent customer service.
- Accurately accept bets and process customer bets through multiple channels, including betting terminals and in-shop transactions through the EPOS system in a timely manner.
- Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to the multi-channel/digital journey.
- Ensure the shop adheres to all operational procedures, including cash and security procedures.
- Adhere to social responsibility duties.

Desirable Skills and Experience
- 1 year Assistant Manager/Supervisor retail experience.
- Industry experience is welcomed but not essential; full training is provided to expand knowledge on all things sport and betting related.
