About the Company
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a market‑leading automation and logistics business operating within a highly automated distribution environment.
This organisation is a well‑established international engineering business that continues to experience sustained growth year on year. They provide automated material handling and warehouse solutions to some of the UK’s most recognisable retail and e‑commerce brands.

Their facilities utilise a range of advanced automation technologies including shuttle systems, robotics, automated storage solutions, conveyors, and high‑speed material handling equipment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of automated equipment.
- Maintain and fault‑find conveyors, automated storage systems, robotics, and associated machinery.
- Replace and repair mechanical components including bearings, rollers, pulleys, belts, and pneumatic equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using electrical drawings and testing equipment.
- Utilise a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to record maintenance activities and manage workloads.
- Complete mechanical and electrical component replacements and assist with equipment rebuilds where required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- A recognised engineering qualification.
- Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, production, distribution, logistics, or automated warehousing environments.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault‑finding skills.
- Ex‑forces engineers (Navy, Army, RAF) are encouraged to apply.
