Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and resilient Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated education team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver PE lessons and structured physical activity programmes to small groups of learners.
  • Support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, with a particular focus on practical, hands‑on learning.
  • Plan and lead sessions that promote fitness, wellbeing, teamwork, and personal development.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to adapt learning to meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Provide classroom support across a range of subjects when required.
  • Build positive, professional relationships to support behaviour management and emotional regulation.
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive, and structured environment that promotes engagement and achievement.
  • Assist in monitoring progress and contributing to individual learning plans.

Qualifications

  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working with young people, ideally those with additional needs or challenging behaviours.
  • Confident in leading and managing groups independently.

Legal and Safeguarding Requirements

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
