Senior Maintenance Engineer – Birmingham
Job No. MC1612. Location: Birmingham. Salary: £47k per year (subject to experience) + overtime (1.5x Monday – Saturday AM, 2x Saturday PM & Sunday) + Company Pension + Training and Development. Type: Permanent.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:00 (flexibility offered). Saturday morning overtime 6am-10am (1 in 2 weeks).
We are looking for an experienced maintenance engineer to lead a small engineering team responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance on steam operated laundry equipment. The role involves PLC‑driven machinery, motors, relays, switches, conveyors, and building issues when required.
Key responsibilities:
- Reactive and preventative maintenance of laundry equipment
- Lead a small engineering team
- Conduct training and development activities
- Engage with building maintenance as required
Candidate profile:
- Maintenance/repair background
- Experience in a senior/lead level role
- Leadership skills
