Waste Collections HGV Driver
Grade: Scale 6 £35,520-£36,585
Hours: 36 per week
Location: Newham Depot, Folkestone Road
Contract Type: Permanent
Are you looking for a demanding role to contribute to achieving a cleaner borough and assist the Council in its delivery to its National targets?
About You
The post will be physically demanding on a day-to-day basis and you will operate a range of vehicles, bin lift equipment.
Our services are in operation from 06:00 – 22:00 Monday to Saturday. We have opportunities to work across both the 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 shift patterns.

To drive the full range of Council vehicles including HGVs and to have staff supervision responsibilities.
Qualifications
Full driving licence (Level 1). C1 Licence Application Form/License (Level 2). HGV 2 – Level 3. Full driving licence appropriate to operate up to 7.5‑tonne caged vehicles. Skip or Clinical Waste Drivers will need an ADR Certificate.
