We’re looking for a compassionate, resilient and proactive Pastoral Lead to join our Study Programme team at Landau. As our Pastoral Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment. You’ll lead on safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral support, helping learners overcome challenges, build resilience and reach their full potential.

Working closely with families, colleagues and external agencies, you’ll support learners with SEMH and SEND needs, lead Early Help interventions, champion learner voice, and ensure every young person feels heard, respected and valued.

About You

  • Experience supporting vulnerable young people, particularly those aged 16–24.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and pastoral support within an education or youth setting.
  • Confidence in building positive relationships with learners, families and professionals.
  • A calm, empathetic approach and the ability to manage challenging situations positively.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.

Mental Health First Aid and safeguarding training are essential, while Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) is desirable.

Salary: £21,937.82 – £23,308.93 per annum (£25,956.00 – £27,578.25 FTE)
