Mechanical Design Engineer

We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace engineering business that’s developing next-generation products for some of the most demanding environments. If you’re passionate about precision engineering and want to work on projects that genuinely make a difference, we’d love to speak with you.

What you’ll be working on

• Designing precision mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Producing detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings
• Developing products for high-performance, high-reliability applications
• Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate mechanical, electronic and RF systems
• Designing with manufacturability, performance and reliability in mind
• Supporting prototype builds, design reviews and engineering change activities

What we’re looking for

You’ll have experience in most of the following:

• Precision engineering and complex mechanical assemblies
• GD&T and engineering drawing standards
• CNC machining, aluminium components and lightweight design
• PCB integration and an understanding of EMI/EMC and RF shielding
• Designing machined, cast, moulded or sheet metal components
• Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• PDM/PLM systems and engineering change processes
