Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, passionate, compassionate, flexible Catering Services Team Manager to support the Catering Management Team in the delivery of efficient and effective operational services across the Catering Service at Ysbyty Gwynedd. The role involves leading a hard‑working team of chefs and cooks to ensure the best catering service is provided to patients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Catering Management Team in delivering efficient and effective operational services.
  • Lead a dedicated team of chefs and cooks to provide the best catering service to patients, staff and visitors.
  • Work shift‑based as part of the Food Production Team.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Contribute to service improvements and undertake specific tasks or projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • English language proficiency; Welsh language skills desirable.
  • Level3 qualification or equivalent in Professional Cookery.
  • Level3 qualification or equivalent in Food Production.
  • Level4 qualification in Managing Food Safely.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, health and safety practices.
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Passion for cooking.
