A popular 3‑form entry Junior school in Havering is looking to recruit a specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school is of medium size and is led by a driven leadership team who can offer a clear and structured working environment. Role Overview
The successful Teaching Assistant will support children across Key Stage 2, catering to those with additional needs. The needs will vary from learning difficulties, social‑emotional, mental health, and behaviour. Safeguarding of its children is at the heart of everything, with the school being praised for both its pastoral support network and its processes in protecting children and young people.
Working days are Monday‑Friday, with a morning break of 15 minutes and 30 minutes for lunch.
Responsibilities
Support children across Key Stage 2 with additional needs, including learning difficulties, social‑emotional challenges, mental health, and behaviour problems. Provide academic and pastoral support as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
- A strong team‑working ethic and willingness to immerse yourself into the school culture
- A commitment to supporting learners both academically and pastorally
