Apply for the Consultant Psychiatrist: General Adult & ADHD – Harley Street (GMC Specialist Register)
Location: London
Job Description:

For 20 years, Harley Therapy has provided the infrastructure for independent practitioners to build and sustain thriving private practices, through well-appointed consulting rooms and comprehensive administrative support at 10 Harley Street.

Many of the practitioners who work with us have done so for well over a decade. They describe it as an arrangement that lets them put patients first, free from the non‑clinical duties and bureaucracy that so often weigh down a consultant’s week.

How it Works

You operate your own independent private practice and retain full clinical responsibility and autonomy, while we provide the professional ecosystem around you:

  • Centralised marketing: A consistent flow of patient enquiries, with no self‑promotion required.
  • Full admin support: Our team acts as your agent for enquiries, bookings, payments and insurance administration, six days a week.
  • Bespoke infrastructure: A custom booking system, plus optional tools designed to streamline your own clinical workflow.
  • Clinical freedom: Spend your energy on the therapeutic relationship, not paperwork.

Availability & Earnings

  • Availability: Ideally a minimum of one day per week (8‑hour clinic) at our Harley Street rooms, with additional sessions available.
  • Earnings: After room and admin fees, you can expect to earn approximately £1,000 per ADHD assessment and £350+ for general assessments.
  • Flexibility: No room fees when you take time off.

Who This Suits

This arrangement is designed for consultants who are warm, engaging and therapeutically informed – practitioners who genuinely enjoy working with their patients and are looking for a stable, long‑term private setting.

Requirements

  • Current GMC registration on the Specialist Register, with your own appropriate indemnity.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ clinical experience (significantly more preferred).
  • An active NHS role or honorary position.
  • A track record of longevity in previous roles.
