Job Summary

We are looking for an Electronics engineer with an interest in a wide range of disciplines. The role requires a strong electronics skill set, the ability to troubleshoot and support silicon wafer processing equipment, package and test machines, and work across multiple disciplines including gases, chemicals, robotics, vacuum, electrical and electronics. The position is a double day shift (06:00-14:00 / 13:30-21:30) and requires full cleanroom gowning and safe equipment handling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to equipment covering all areas of silicon wafer processing equipment, package, and test.
  • Lead and participate in equipment installations, improvements, and resolution of underlying equipment issues.
  • Respond rapidly to equipment issues using electronics knowledge and experience; ensure timely repairs and provide clear progress updates to production teams.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams within Teledyne and external engineers, recording actions and minutes of meetings on complex issues.
  • Perform complex preventive maintenance activities while adhering to all Health and Safety requirements.
  • Project work, installing new equipment and equipment modifications; provide necessary documentation and training to others.
  • Produce all risk assessments for equipment and host and control contractors’ review of method statements and risk assessments, issuing permits to work.
  • Maintain organization, manage time and workload efficiently, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of HNC in electronics.
  • Previously worked in a multidisciplinary role with a strong electronics skill set.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Ability to wear self‑contained breathing apparatus after passing medical and receiving training.

Additional Information

Due to cleanroom working, wearing makeup is not allowed, and non‑smokers are preferred; smokers must not smoke four hours before entering the cleanroom.
