Reports to: Junior Data Operations Manager
This apprenticeship role also offers a career progression opportunity to progress into a Data Scientist (Level 6).

As a Data Analyst Apprentice, you will play an important role in transforming data into meaningful insights that support business decisions. You will work with our Business Intelligence team to analyse data, develop dashboards and reports, and help identify opportunities to improve performance across the organisation. You will develop your technical and analytical skills while working with modern reporting and visualisation tools such as Tableau, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment. Alongside your day-to-day work, you will complete a Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship, applying your learning to real business challenges from day one. On successful completion, you will progress into more advanced analytical roles and we will support your continued development through a Level 6 Data Science apprenticeship, providing a clear pathway into advanced analytics and machine learning.
As a Data Analyst Apprentice, you will:
Responsibilities
- Analyse business performance data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement.
- Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau for stakeholders across the business.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and recommend appropriate analytical solutions.
- Investigate data quality issues and work with colleagues to resolve discrepancies.
- Present analytical findings in a clear and meaningful way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support the Data Operations Manager in delivering reporting and analytical projects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes, data quality and documentation.
- Maintain awareness of data governance, confidentiality and GDPR requirements.
We are looking for someone who is analytical, inquisitive and enjoys solving problems using data.
Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively.
- A collaborative approach and confidence working with stakeholders across different departments.
- A willingness to learn new technologies and continually develop analytical skills.
- Experience creating reports or dashboards using Tableau, Power BI or similar BI tools.
- An understanding of data quality and the importance of producing reliable insights.
