Responsibilities
- Support the translational partnerships portfolio to ensure smooth collaboration, communication, mutual value creation and risk management.
- Coordinate and operationally manage Sanger partnerships with industry collaborators and our spinout companies.
- Act as the interface with internal operational functions, supporting the smooth running of joint work and appropriate reporting.
- Work closely with faculty engaged in collaborative work and participate in joint steering groups when established.
- Build relationships and serve as the first point of contact for collaborating partners.
- Identify and seek opportunities to grow partner engagement and secure mutual benefits for all stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in supporting the operation and coordination of research partnerships with industry or business development activities.
- Good understanding of academic culture, intellectual property and open science.
- Familiarity with sponsored research processes and frameworks.
- Experience in higher education, research institutions or industry R&D environments.
- Strong project‑management, operational and organisational skills.
- Excellent stakeholder‑management and relationship‑building ability.
- Problem‑solving mindset and strong teamwork orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Arrangements
Hybrid role: minimum of 3 days per week on campus.
Salary and Contract
Salary per annum: £42,198 – £48,500
Contract type: Permanent
