Overview
The Department of Gastroenterology at University Hospitals Sussex is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic gastroenterologist to complement our existing team of 11 consultants.
Key Duties
The post holder will primarily work at Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, with additional support at The Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath. Responsibilities include:
- Support specialist outpatient clinics and ward rounds.
- Provide specialist in‑patient gastroenterology ward cover/on‑call alongside endoscopy and out‑patient clinics, encouraging involvement in endoscopy training.
- Perform diagnostic upper and lower GI endoscopy, and GI bleeding therapeutics; other therapeutic skills and interests welcomed.
- Rotational commitment to the provision of care on the gastroenterology inpatient unit at Royal Sussex County Hospital.
- Rotational commitment to the out‑of‑hours GI bleed rota and weekend gastroenterology inpatient unit.
