Role Overview
The Events Manager is responsible for the hands‑on planning and delivery of a diverse range of events, from corporate hires to public programmes. You will be directly engaged in every step, ensuring seamless execution, safety and exceptional guest experiences. Working closely with the Senior Events Manager and our other Events Managers, you will be a visible, proactive presence on the ground, ensuring each event is delivered to the highest standard, while fostering a positive, solution‑focused approach.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Plan, coordinate and execute a wide variety of events in a public‑facing venue.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and event compliance requirements.
- Provide an excellent visitor experience and maintain positive engagement with attendees.
- Manage multiple events simultaneously, navigating tight timelines and complex logistics.
- Collaborate with senior staff, stakeholders and external partners to meet organisational objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
Whilst previous experience in a museum is not required and no academic qualifications are necessary, we are looking for someone who:
- Has experience delivering large, complex or high‑profile events in a public venue.
- Shows keen eye for detail and a strong organisational and problem‑solving mindset.
- Can manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining quality.
- Is proactive, solution‑focused and has good communication skills.
- Is eager to turn a creative vision into reality and passionate about London heritage.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview on Thursday 6 or Friday 7 August 2026. If successfully shortlisted, candidates will be asked to complete a short task as part of the interview process.
