Position
Head of Access and Planned Care Transformation – Ailsa Hospital, permanent position.
Hours
36 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver improvements in access targets and planned care, including modernising the outpatient programme.
- Manage change and deliver outcomes within a high‑quality patient care environment.
- Act as a trusted advisor on access targets for planned care for senior managers and clinicians.
- Operate under pressure, contributing to reshaping acute care for the future.
- Travel between NHS Ayrshire & Arran sites as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- In‑depth knowledge of access targets for planned care and experience with access collaborative initiatives.
- Significant experience in providing innovative solutions to meet organisational objectives.
- Proven track record of working in a large, complex organisation with senior managers and clinicians.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence staff and partners to provide high‑quality patient care.
- Ability to earn the confidence and respect of staff and partners, fostering a positive culture of initiative and open communication.
- Experience in clinical services and financial management is an advantage.
