Job Overview

A commodity analytics and risk management professional responsible for delivering market insights, predictive models, and digital tools that improve procurement and hedging outcomes worldwide. The role owns the end‑to‑end execution and governance of commodity risk strategies, ensuring accurate exposure reporting, effective hedge implementation, and commercial support to strengthen supplier negotiations and business performance.

Key Deliverables

  • Publish regular detailed and actionable research reports on agricultural, energy and industrial commodities.
  • Research and build detailed commodity supply and demand models.
  • Lead the development, enhancement and execution of econometric/AI models.
  • Develop deep fundamental and technical market analysis.
  • Deliver a digitised market intelligence hub to disseminate quantitative and qualitative information for global and regional decision making.
  • Develop strategies on financial risk management of commodities and other key prime material spends, using futures, swaps and other instruments.
  • Take ownership of accurate global hedge position reporting, detailing exposures and ensuring compliance with governance policies and frameworks.
  • Ensure timely execution of hedging strategies.
  • Provide insights to support key supplier negotiations.
  • Handle complex issues independently with minimal supervision and only escalates the most sensitive issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or qualification that demonstrates suitable experience and learning.
  • At least three years of experience working in commodities (agriculture, metals, energy or similar).
  • Knowledge of hedging and financial risk management of commodities.
  • Strong understanding of factors influencing global commodity prices, with experience in fundamentals analysis and report writing.
  • Ability to translate global commodity insights to regional intricacies and tailor output for manufacturing locations in Turkey, Central Asia, MENA, Europe, the UK, North America, Sub‑Saharan Africa and India.
  • Experience maintaining and building commodity research databases, and leading the development and execution of models and processes to forecast and describe price, supply and demand, relative value and global trends on assigned commodity markets.

Desirable

  • Experience with advanced econometric or AI modelling techniques.
  • Knowledge of other global commodity markets beyond supplies listed above.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in commodity analytics (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Experience with data‑visualisation platforms.

Interview Process

  • Initial telephone call with Talent Acquisition.
  • First stage interview – 45minutes competency‑based interview focused on company values and experience.
  • Second stage interview – 90minutes technical interview or case study/presentation.
  • Optional psychometric and aptitude tests may be conducted as part of the selection process.
