Location: Horncastle, East Lindsey

Team: FAST (Family Assessment & Support Team)

Working Pattern: Hybrid (with on‑site duty week every 3 weeks)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join a FAST team in Horncastle. This frontline role involves delivering high‑quality statutory social work to children and families across the following areas:

• Child in Need
• Child Protection
• Children in Care

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct Section 47 enquiries and lead safeguarding investigations
• Complete comprehensive child and family assessments
• Apply evidence‑based frameworks such as Signs of Safety to assess and manage risk
• Lead and contribute to multi‑agency planning and decision‑making
• Produce high‑quality, analytical reports, including those for court
• Maintain timely, accurate, and defensible case recordings
• Build strong, purposeful relationships with children and families through relationship‑based practice
• Demonstrate sound decision‑making in complex and high‑risk situations

About You

To be successful you will have:

• Proven experience within statutory children’s social work
• Strong working knowledge of Child Protection, CIN, and CIC processes
• Confidence managing complex caseloads and safeguarding concerns
• Experience in court work and report writing
• Ability to work collaboratively across agencies
• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and families

Working Arrangements

• Duty week: Full on‑site presence required (5 days) on a 1‑in‑3 week rota
• Non‑duty weeks: Flexible hybrid working available
