Remote Senior Software/Front End Developer

Salary: £64,000 – 104,000 per year

Requirements

• Proven experience in a government or public sector role.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS services and best practices.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current active SC Clearance.
• Cannot consider candidates who require sponsorship or hold any type of visa.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud‑based applications using AWS services.
• Write clean, maintainable code in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Implement containerised applications using Docker.
• Orchestrate and manage container deployments using Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of cloud‑based applications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
