Apply for the Senior Product Manager
Location: London
Job Description:

Take the reins on more that one of our high impact products, shaping the vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring these are aligned with our overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the reins on more that one of our high impact products, shaping the vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring these are aligned with our overall business goals.
  • Own the business case and ROI, making sure you keep stakeholders across Octopus genuinely excited and informed about changes and their impact.
  • You’ll also execute day to day – taking full ownership of planning, running, delivering and monitoring key missions in your area, keeping things on track and making sure everything hands off smoothly.
  • Deliver analysis that gets under the hood of our products, constantly measuring and improving our product performance, security, and reliability.
  • Be a product discovery champion, rapidly experimenting, vibe coding prototypes before passing them over to engineering.
  • Figure out when to dive deep into finding a solution and when to move fast to balance real-world risks with customer value. Coach junior PMs to help them smash their career goals and share your wisdom to level up our whole product community.

Requirements

  • A serious customer obsession where every prioritisation call comes back to the customer experience.
  • Genuine curiosity about the home energy and electrotech space. You are hooked on solving these massive, systemic problems, not just playing with cool tech.
  • Experience steering products that are complex, fast-changing, with plenty of stories to tell about the real value you delivered to customers or colleagues.
  • Comfort messing around with AI to vibe code prototypes and writing your own queries so you can grab data and test ideas independently.
  • An ability to stay calm in the grey areas. You don’t panic when things are ambiguous and know how to use great discovery methods to build clarity out of chaos.
  • Brilliant communication skills to explain the “why” behind tough decisions, handle dependencies smoothly, and get diverse teams enthusiastic about a shared goal.
  • Plenty of self-awareness. You love reflecting on your work, actively seeking feedback, and always looking for ways to sharpen your product craft.
  • We’re open to a pure Product background, or a more techncial background (maybe you used to be a dev or data scientist) or someone from a customer focused discipline (like UX design or user research).
