Roadside Technician – London and Greater London

Overview

As a Roadside Technician with the RAC, you’ll provide expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle faults such as flat batteries, tyre issues, and complex mechanical problems.
• Provide rapid and confident roadside assistance to RAC members.
• Maintain equipment, tools and diagnostic kits and ensure your RAC van is perfectly serviceable.
• Work demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours a week, with optional overtime.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and represent the RAC positively.

Qualifications

• Level2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
• Valid full UK driving licence.
• Customer‑focused approach and strong communication skills.
