Overview
As a Roadside Technician with the RAC, you’ll provide expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicle faults such as flat batteries, tyre issues, and complex mechanical problems.
- Provide rapid and confident roadside assistance to RAC members.
- Maintain equipment, tools and diagnostic kits and ensure your RAC van is perfectly serviceable.
- Work demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours a week, with optional overtime.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and represent the RAC positively.
Qualifications
- Level2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
- Valid full UK driving licence.
- Customer‑focused approach and strong communication skills.
