Job Details

Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours term‑time plus one week during holidays (39 weeks total).Contract Type: Permanent.Pay Scale: Grade 5, points 6–11 (£25,989‑£28,142 per annum).

Responsibilities

• Assist with small group work and contribute to engaging lessons.
• Support teachers in classroom delivery and pastoral care.
• Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
• Implement individualized support for students, including those with SEND.

Qualifications and Experience

• Good reading, writing and maths skills, with GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Ability to build professional relationships with children.
• Strong communication skills, friendly and clear with students, parents and colleagues.
• Can work well alone and as part of a team.
• Proactive, organised and committed to supporting student success.

Commitment to Safeguarding

• Full enhanced DBS check required.
• Additional checks: right to work, references, suitability to work with children.
• Candidates must disclose any unspent convictions or cautions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
