About The Role & Team

We are looking for an experienced and customer‑focused Housekeeping Supervisor to join the Halls Management Team on University Park. The role involves managing large teams of Housekeeping Assistants and overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the Halls Housekeeping/cleaning function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff management, line‑managing a team of direct reports.
  • Monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards in bedrooms and public spaces.
  • Identifying areas for service improvement.
  • Ordering and maintaining linen, chemical, and equipment stock levels.
  • Monitoring the care of equipment within the unit.

Qualifications

  • Customer focused.
  • Previous staff supervision or management experience.
  • Experience in a similar role at a similar level.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry‑recognised cleaning techniques.
  • Experience of stock management.

Hours of Work

36.25 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 to be arranged. Expected to work occasional weekends in term time and may include additional weekend hours during conference time, typically between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Other Information

The successful candidate will be expected to attend Estates and Facilities training courses which run Monday to Friday mornings. This is a full‑time, permanent post.
