Position
We wish to appoint a Senior ICT Technician to join our in-house IT service. The service supports four schools and is based at Cockermouth School. Joining a well-established team this role will be a valued part of the overall service and is an excellent opportunity for an early career ICT Technician to gain more experience in a supportive team environment or for an already experienced senior technician to consolidate their knowledge/skills and bring this to our team.
Key Responsibilities and Attributes
The successful candidate will have the initiative to work independently, a willingness to learn and develop, capacity to contribute to a team approach, flexibility and a genuine affinity with education settings and the work we do in school settings. Candidates should hold a relevant qualification or be able to demonstrate this suitably through their experience.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification or suitable experience
- GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Employment Details
Permanent. 37 hours per week, full year role (reduced weeks by agreement is available).

Cockermouth School is a Safeguarding School. The successful applicant will be subject to appropriate checks and undertake an enhanced DBS and, where appropriate to the post, a requirement to complete a Childcare Disqualification declaration.
