Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Business Studies to join our welcoming and supportive secondary school in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to begin their teaching journey within a thriving department that values collaboration, high-quality teaching, and professional growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of business principles and their real-world applications.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to support achievement.
  • Create an inclusive, positive, and stimulating classroom environment where all students can succeed.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the Business Studies curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and school events.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve QTS by September 2026.
  • A degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Business Studies.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a positive approach to feedback.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities to achieve their potential.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
