Location: Salford Priors, Evesham

Pay: £13.56 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm or 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

Type: Temporary to Permanent opportunity. Full UK driving licence required.

We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Salford Priors, near Evesham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous assembly, manufacturing, production, or mechanical fitting experience who is looking for a long-term position with the potential to secure a permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembling mechanical components and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools
• Reading and following assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and work orders
• Fitting, aligning, and securing parts to required specifications
• Conducting quality checks throughout the assembly process
• Using measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications
• Reporting faults, defects, or production issues to supervisors
• Assisting with material handling and movement of components around the workshop
• Supporting other manufacturing and production departments when required
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Adhering to all company procedures and Health & Safety regulations

Requirements

• Previous experience within an assembly, manufacturing, production, engineering, or mechanical environment
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Ability to follow technical instructions and drawings
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport are essential due to the location
• FLT Counterbalance licence would be advantageous but is not essential
