Job Details

Data Quality TechnicianLocation: SYFR Headquarters, Eyre Street, Sheffield S1 3FGHours: Full Time – 37 Hours per week (Flexi Time)Contract: Fixed‑term contract until April 2027Salary: £26,403 – £28,142 per annum (Grade4). Subject to national pay award negotiations for 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the execution of data quality routines and proactively monitor and report on data quality issues.
  • Provide systems administration and support for data collection systems.
  • Conduct system reviews and recommend performance improvements.
  • Collate and validate statistical returns and perform daily data quality checks.
  • Maintain supporting documentation and track/audit data passing through Business Intelligence managed systems.
  • Ensure quality assurance of statutory obligations and submit data to the National Fire Chiefs Council, Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government and other organisations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous experience working in data quality management or a similar role.
  • Experience supporting the development of key documentation.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with data quality management tools.
  • Effective communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
