Are you an IMI Level 3 Vehicle Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Trailer Technician looking to upskill or specialise in Double Decker Trailers (DDTs)?

We’re building a brand-new, state-of-the-art 16-bay trailer workshop at our Midlands Super Hub, and we’re looking for skilled technicians who want more from their career, with full training, progression opportunities, and long-term stability.

Location: The role will initially be based at our Crick / Coventry workshop (additional travel expenses will be covered), before moving to the Midlands Super Hub by late 2026.

What you’ll earn

  • £40,906 basic salary
  • £15,450 Defined Workshop allowance
  • £2,736 Weekend Allowance (based on 1 in 3 weekends)
  • £1,532 Late Shift Allowance (based on 1 in 3 weeks)

Total OTE: £60,624

Overtime and shift allowances

  • Overtime at £27.79 per hour (£29.78 per hour on bank holidays)
  • Weekend bonus supplement of £53.66 per Saturday shift and £107.33 per Sunday shift
  • Late shift attendance allowance £90.21 per week (1 in 3 weeks)

Shift pattern

39.5 hours per week on a 3-week rotating shift pattern:

  • Week 1 – Early: 06:00-14:30 (Mon-Fri)
  • Week 2 – Mids & Weekend: x3 days Monday-Friday 09:30-18:00, plus Saturday & Sunday 06:00-14:30 (with 2 days off mid‑week)
  • Week 3 – Late: 13:30-22:00 (Mon‑Fri)

What you’ll be doing

  • Service, maintain and repair trailers (including DDTs), HGVs, and LCVs
  • Carry out PMIs, inspections, diagnostics & fault‑finding
  • Work in a modern, well‑equipped workshop, using both specialist tooling and your own tools for maintenance
  • Play a key role in keeping one of the UK’s largest fleets operational

Who we’re looking for

  • IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic (heavy vehicle maintenance) or equivalent
  • Experience in vehicle maintenance or trailer work
  • Interest in DDT / HGV progression (if not already qualified)
  • Full manual UK C1 driving licence (C+E desirable, not essential)
  • Flexible to service demands and able to work on a shift rota
  • Team player with pride in workmanship
