OCS are working with a well-established construction contractor based in London, who is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their busy commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially-minded professional with at least 3 years’ experience in building or fit-out projects, who wants to take ownership of cost management and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality projects.nnThe RolennAs Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with project teams to manage budgets, control costs, and ensure commercial compliance across building and fit-out projects.nnKey responsibilities include:nn * nn Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecastsnn * nn Measuring and valuing work, including variations and change controlnn * nn Preparing interim valuations and final accountsnn * nn Assisting with subcontractor procurement and managementnn * nn Monitoring costs and reporting on project financial performancenn * nn Supporting project teams with commercial advice and contract interpretationnn * nn Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting senior QS staff as requirednnAbout YounnTo be considered for this role, you will ideally have:nn * nn A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Managementnn * nn At least 3 years’ experience in building and/or fit-out projectsnn * nn Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT preferred)nn * nn Excellent commercial awareness and numeracy skillsnn * nn Effective communication and negotiation skillsnn * nn Confidence to work independently while collaborating with project teamsnnWhat’s on Offernn * nn Competitive salary and benefits packagenn * nn Exposure to high-profile London build and fit-out projectsnn * nn Opportunity to take ownership of commercial management on projectsnn * nn Long-term career development and progression within a growing contractornn * nn Supportive, professional team environmentnnIf you’re a Quantity Surveyor with at least 3 years’ building or fit-out experience and are looking for a role where you can develop your career and manage projects commercially, this London-based opportunity could be an excellent fit
