KPI Education is partnering with a high-performing secondary school in London to recruit an ambitious and academically strong Geography graduate ready to begin their journey into teaching. This is an outstanding opportunity to gain Initial Teacher Training (ITT) while working within a supportive school environment, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the opportunity to achieve a PGCE.
This programme is designed for graduates who are passionate about Geography and eager to develop into confident, successful secondary school teachers through a structured school-based training pathway.
The Opportunity
As a Graduate Geography Trainee Teacher, you will join a thriving Humanities department and receive comprehensive training throughout the academic year. Working alongside experienced teachers and dedicated mentors, you will develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required to become an outstanding classroom practitioner.
From day one, you will be immersed in school life, observing excellent teaching, supporting lessons and gradually taking on increased responsibility as you progress through your training.

During Your Training You Will
- Support Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop your classroom practice through observation and guided teaching.
- Learn how to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Build confidence managing behaviour and creating positive learning environments.
- Support students of varying abilities to achieve their academic potential.
- Monitor progress and contribute to student achievement.
- Receive regular coaching, feedback and professional development.
- Gradually progress towards teaching classes independently as part of your QTS training.
Candidate Requirements
- A 2:1 degree or above in Geography or a related subject.
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
- A genuine passion for Geography and education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to motivate and inspire young people.
- A professional, resilient and reflective approach to learning.
- A commitment to completing teacher training and pursuing a long‑term teaching career.
Previous experience working with young people through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work or school‑based settings is desirable but not essential.
