SEN Teaching Assistant Special Needs SEMH

Salary: £95-£115 per dayJob Type: Long Term

Join us as a SEN Teaching Assistant Special Needs SEMH in an SEN school seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with SEMH needs. Provide targeted support, assist with behavioural and emotional challenges, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in creating visual schedules and task analysis.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Strong understanding of mental health challenges in children and adolescents.
  • Experience in implementing strategies to support emotional well‑being.

Qualifications / Experience

  • You must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, as well as a PGCE or equivalent Teaching qualification, to be eligible for this role.
  • Additionally, you will need to have, or be eligible for, British QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent to be considered for this job.
  • To be eligible for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
