TPF Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well‑established and forward‑thinking firm of Chartered Accountants in Wokingham with their search for an Accounts Semi‑Senior or Accounts Senior to join their growing team.

Role

  • Prepare statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Produce corporation tax returns, VAT returns and, where required, personal tax returns.
  • Assist clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software queries.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and become a trusted point of contact.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients’ businesses.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure assignments are delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
  • Keep technical knowledge up to date through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

  • Current or recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
  • ACA or ACCA qualification, or be actively studying towards either qualification (qualified by experience candidates will also be considered).
  • Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting software, with cloud accounting experience beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive and personable approach, with the confidence to build lasting client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Exposure to payroll or company secretarial work would be advantageous but is not essential.
