Information Governance Officer
This full-time post is available from 15th September on a permanent basis.
The starting salary will be from £33,951 on Grade E subject to knowledge, skills and experience.
This role will be on a hybrid contract, with some time on campus and some time working from home.
Responsibilities
- Join a busy team across all areas of the University to meet regulatory requirements and promote Information Governance best practice.
- Perform vital IG services such as FOI responses, SAR requests and DPIA.
- Handle internal and external requests with a focus on Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests.
- Support compliance requirements, identify and manage risks, and provide assurance on the compliance position.
- Use Microsoft tools such as SharePoint to support IG functions.
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge and experience in the application of the Data Protection Act.
- Experience handling Freedom of Information requests.
- Experience supporting DPIAs and Subject Access Requests.
- Experience using Microsoft tools such as SharePoint.
- Highly motivated, process driven with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
