Role Overview
Here at Innovative Technology, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Technician to join our site-based Quality Assurance team based in Oldham, Greater Manchester. The purpose of the role is to provide support to the business to drive progress towards a goal of achieving zero product quality issues and zero customer complaints for production quality issues. We have a diverse range of products at development stage so you can expect variety in this role as we continue to serve a demanding global market.
Responsibilities
- Inspection and verification of components and products against specifications, drawings and standards
- Raise and report product nonconformances from inspection activities and lead problem solving activities to drive the implementation of preventative actions
- Investigate and analyse product nonconformance data and drive problem solving activities with the Production, Production Engineering and CI departments
- Conduct internal audits against the requirements of ISO9001
- Produce reports for the Quality Assurance Manager
- Communicate quality issues to all departments
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a quality inspection or similar role
- Understanding of ISO9001
- Literate with Office 365 applications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experienced in reading, understanding and measuring components using technical drawings and specifications
