Casual Security Officer SIA at De Montfort Hall, a leading live entertainment venue in Leicester.

Job Overview

Responsibilities include ensuring safety and security for customers, staff and the venue across a busy, fast‑paced environment. Shift work is flexible, covering day and evening shifts Monday to Sunday, with schedules based on event programming.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide security support to customers and supervise crowd control at De Montfort Hall.
• Monitor customer conduct, manage conflicts and carry out baggage checks.
• Offer assistance to customers requiring additional access.
• Identify and pre‑empt potential safety issues.
• Support pit or stage security during concerts, remove disruptive customers, and protect artists during signings and departures.
• Perform stewarding duties for specific events when required.

What You’ll Need

• Experience in a busy entertainment environment.
• Current SIA Door Supervisor badge and sound knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Good numeracy and literacy for incident reporting.
• Excellent verbal communication and a calm, positive demeanor for de‑escalating incidents.
• Physical fitness to stand for long periods and assist in venue set‑up.
• Over 18 years of age with a valid, in‑date SIA badge.
