RESTORATION TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

• Assess the extent and type of fire or water damage to enable clear, accurate restoration decisions.
• Develop and deliver safe and practical restoration plans to ensure a smooth and prompt handover to the reinstatement team.
• Perform mitigation tasks such as water extraction, wet and contaminated material strip‑out, soot decontamination, and drying equipment set‑up.
• Complete decontamination, sanitizing, deodorizing, and debris removal to restore safe conditions of properties.
• Maintain a detailed log of works completed including recording accurate moisture readings, updating insurance systems, producing floorplans, and supporting claim processes.
• Communicate clearly with customers, adjusters, and colleagues, providing reassurance and updates.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements, ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• BDMA and/or IICRC certifications (WRT, FSRT, AMRT, etc.) – desirable.
• Valid driver’s license.
