Overview

You will oversee DCWUK’s financial governance, ensuring strong financial management, transparency, and sustainability. The role supports strategic decision-making, monitors income and expenditure, ensures compliance, manages risk, and helps strengthen long-term financial planning.

The Treasurer Trustee will play a key role in strengthening the financial health and sustainability of DreamCatchers WorldWide. By providing oversight of budgets, income, and expenditure, the Treasurer ensures the charity operates responsibly and in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.

This role supports informed decision-making at board level, helping the organisation plan effectively, manage risk, and use resources where they have the greatest impact. The Treasurer’s guidance will also support funding applications, reporting, and long-term financial planning, enabling DCWUK to grow sustainably.

Strong financial governance will allow the organisation to focus on delivering high-quality programmes that improve digital access, skills, and opportunities for the communities we serve.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Treasurer Trustee with experience in finance, budgeting, or financial oversight. The ideal candidate will be organised, strategic, and confident reviewing financial information to support good governance. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including those new to trusteeship. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who shares our values and is committed to supporting community impact and long-term sustainability.

What will you be doing?

  • Oversee the charity’s financial management and ensure good financial governance.
  • Monitor income, expenditure, and cash flow to support sustainable delivery of programmes.
  • Support the preparation and review of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Work with the Chair and Board to ensure compliance with charity finance regulations and best practice.
  • Provide financial insight to support funding applications, contracts, and strategic decisions.
  • Oversee financial controls, risk management, and accountability processes.
  • Liaise with external accountants or independent examiners as required.
  • Present clear financial updates to the Board of Trustees.
