Contracts Manager

Main duties
- Manage an allocated contract portfolio, collaborating with partners and stakeholders to develop commercial contract management workplans that identify opportunities to improve quality, value and cost.
- Support the Head of Procurement – Commercial Contract Management in developing, implementing and achieving departmental objectives.
- Develop governance strategies, set targets and indicators for contract performance; manage contract performance practice.
- Negotiate contractual issues ensuring adherence to procurement processes.
- Analyse purchasing activity data to identify contract development opportunities.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Qualified to CIPS NVQ Level 4 or equivalent CIPS knowledge and experience, demonstrable through experience.
Experience
- Strong purchasing skills and depth of experience across a range of supply/service areas.
Skills
- Ability to analyse complex information and present it in a clear, comprehensive format.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
