Python Developer

Overview

I’m partnering with a specialist professional services firm based in London to find a Software Developer at junior to mid level. This is a small, fast-moving team where you own what you build and have input into how things are done. They’ve built real products that serve real users, and they want someone who has done the same. Joining a small, close-knit Technology & Data team, this person will own the software that keeps operations running: workflow automations, internal platforms, and data-driven systems. The things built here will be used every day by the people sitting around you.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy web applications and internal tools, end to end from front-end to back-end.
• Write clean Python to power data pipelines, APIs, and automation workflows.
• Deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments, keeping production systems reliable and well-monitored.
• Work with containerisation tools to package and run services consistently across environments.
• Help build the data infrastructure that supports internal analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in a hands-on development role with real production experience shipping things that people actually use.
• Solid Python skills (scripts, services, APIs), comfortable across front-end and back-end, not a specialist in either, but able to contribute in both.
• Experience deploying to cloud platforms and supporting live systems.
• Containerisation experience (Docker etc.) is a bonus, not a requirement.
• A practical mindset where delivering working software matters more than perfect architecture.
