Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Raytheon UK has a full‑time, permanent Senior Software Engineer position available at our Manchester or Gloucester sites. The role focuses on software development in a cross‑functional team that delivers and deploys critical systems across a variety of business areas. All candidates must be willing to attain an eDV clearance.

• Testing & Quality
• Unit testing and automation
• Testing frameworks (e.g. Mocha, Jest, Cypress)

• Experience working in an Agile delivery team
• Use of code repositories (e.g. GitLab); familiarity with branching strategies, pull requests and merge processes.

Role Type and Site

• Onsite – employees work primarily onsite and are responsible for commuting to the assigned site.
• Hybrid – employees work regularly both onsite and offsite; the onsite ratio is determined in partnership with their leader.
• Remote – employees work primarily off‑site. If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site, your manager will discuss any required onsite presence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• For Engineering/Technical positions, a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is preferred.
