Overview
Role: Credit Controller. Location: Manchester. Job Type: Permanent, Full-time. Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 + Bonus. This role involves managing a portfolio of client accounts, taking ownership of cash collection and debtor management, and delivering a high standard of client service. You will play a key role in reducing debtor days and improving cash collection performance, working closely with internal stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly cash collection targets through proactive and overdue credit control.
- Monitor daily cash receipts to ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting information.
- Liaise with internal colleagues to resolve invoicing and billing queries efficiently.
- Process credit notes once appropriate authorisation has been obtained.
- Deliver excellent client service across all interactions.
- Provide monthly statements to clients.
- Reconcile client accounts covering both billed and unbilled debt, using Excel to highlight outstanding balances and queries requiring resolution.
Qualifications
- Previous Credit Control experience within a large organisation.
- Target-driven with a strong focus on results.
- Ability to work independently while managing competing deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail.
- A flexible and committed team player.
- Strong communication skills, both over the phone and via email.
- Strong Excel skills.
