Lotus Home Care are looking to extend its team by recruiting Adult Support Workers to support clients in their own homes. It is a full‑time job with training included, giving you the chance to gain a recognised qualification while building a career in health and social care, assisting with the day‑to‑day care of clients in their own homes.
What You’ll Do
As a Health & Social Care Apprentice, you will be trained to be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care tailored to individual needs
- Take an active role in creating and reviewing care plans
- Support new staff shadowing you
- Undergo training on our rota systems
- Administer or assist with medication (where trained and authorised)
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
- Record, monitor, and report on health and well‑being
- Support individuals with complex needs such as dementia, learning disabilities, or physical impairments
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities, acting promptly to protect vulnerable individuals
- Travel between clients’ homes (mileage reimbursed)
- Attend training, workshops, and complete off‑job learning for your apprenticeship
As a Level3 apprentice, you will take on greater responsibility in providing and coordinating care. You will be working towards the Level3 Apprenticeship in Adult Care, preparing for senior roles such as Lead Care Worker or Supervisor.
