We’re looking for a diligent Golang Software Engineer to join a global banking organisation working on their Loyalty and Benefits platform. This is a modern microservice‑based system designed to handle all aspects of the customer experience globally, built using technologies such as Golang, Kafka and Docker.
As part of a Scrum team, you’ll design, build and enhance backend features within the Account domain, collaborating with engineers across the platform to improve performance, reliability and scalability. The environment encourages innovation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using
Golang
Work within microservice architectures and asynchronous messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ etc.)
Collaborate in a Scrum framework to deliver tested, automated solutions through CI/CD pipelines
Apply test‑driven development practices across unit, component, functional and integration testing
Contribute to continuous integration, deployment and testing processes
Skills and Experience
Strong
Golang
backend programming experience
REST and gRPC API development
Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
Kafka, Postgres, GraphQL and version control tools such as Git or SVN
Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, TDD and BDD
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Rally or JIRA
