Job Overview

We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our small team following a retirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently, mainly for delivering straw to power stations and general haulage.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, load and secure cargo, and plan routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance, adhering to safety and legal standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading as needed, ensuring goods are secure during transit.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence.
• Proven driving experience.
• CPC certification.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Experience with flatbeds desirable; training provided.

Compensation

Night‑out (tramping) role offering £13.50-£14.50 per hour within a supportive environment.
