Job Description – Pre‑Construction ManagernnLocation: Central London Sector: Infrastructure, RC Frame & Demolition Employment Type: Full‑time, PermanentnnOverviewnnA leading specialist contractor delivering complex infrastructure, RC frame and demolition projects across Central London is seeking an experienced Pre‑Construction Manager to lead all front‑end activities across major tenders and early‑stage project development. This role is central to shaping methodologies, influencing design, and securing high‑value work in one of the most challenging urban construction environments in the UK.nnKey Responsibilitiesnn * nn Lead the full pre‑construction process across infrastructure, RC frame and demolition tendersnn * nn Develop build methodologies, sequencing strategies, logistics plans and technical narrativesnn * nn Coordinate internal teams including estimating, planning, design, commercial and deliverynn * nn Review tender documentation, identify risks/opportunities and propose innovative solutionsnn * nn Manage design development during pre‑con, including temporary works and buildability reviewsnn * nn Prepare and deliver tender presentations to clients, consultants and JV partnersnn * nn Work closely with the commercial team to ensure competitive, compliant and compelling bidsnn * nn Oversee multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are metnn * nn Build strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholdersnn * nn Support handover to delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition into constructionnnExperience & Skills Requirednn * nn Proven experience in a Pre‑Construction Manager or Senior Pre‑Construction rolenn * nn Strong background in civils, infrastructure, RC frame or demolition projectsnn * nn Excellent understanding of buildability, sequencing, temporary works and logisticsnn * nn Ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams through complex tender processesnn * nn Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract requirementsnn * nn Confident communicator with the ability to influence clients and stakeholdersnn * nn Experience working on major projects typically ranging from £10m to £100m+nn * nn Ability to manage multiple bids and competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentnn * nn Strong technical writing skills and ability to produce high‑quality tender submissionsnnWhat’s on Offernn * nn Opportunity to shape and win high‑profile projects across Central Londonnn * nn A senior role with influence over strategy, methodology and project directionnn * nn Strong pipeline of complex urban infrastructure and structures worknn * nn Competitive salary and benefits package (can be added if you want it included)nn * nn Career progression within a growing, specialist contractor
