Service Delivery Manager

Location: Birmingham (B31)

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (1-hour lunch break)

Contract Type: Permanent

Brook Street is recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare provider in Birmingham for a Service Delivery Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in healthcare, medical supplies, or stock management to play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of services that support clinical teams and patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing consumable orders, maintaining appropriate stock levels, overseeing stock rotation, managing supplier relationships, and identifying cost‑saving opportunities through benchmarking and negotiation. You will also ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved and that operational processes run efficiently without delays.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Previous experience managing or supervising a team
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
  • Experience within a healthcare, medical, or supply chain environment (desirable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure stock is received, distributed, and replenished promptly across all managed areas
  • Monitor stock levels and stock rotation processes to maintain availability and minimise waste
  • Train, support, and develop team members in the use of internal systems and processes
  • Ensure compliance with reporting procedures and effectively manage any exceptions
  • Act as the first point of contact for operational queries, liaising with stakeholders at all levels
  • Support and lead supplier meetings and negotiations to secure best value and service levels
  • Analyse operational data and provide accurate reports and insights to senior stakeholders
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and implement improvements where required
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of supply chain and service delivery processes
