Senior Design Engineer – Derby

Your future team
Our team is focused on nuclear and defence projects. We are looking for enthusiastic designers to join our innovative team.
Responsibilities
- Design components to customer specifications.
- Create models and drawings with CAD.
- Research new ideas and methods.
- Improve products and processes.
- Modify designs for requirements.
- Ensure safety compliance.
- Find creative solutions.
- Support junior team members.
- Present designs to customers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Senior Design Engineer or similar role.
- Ability to work with the Mechanical Engineering Team to realise ideas.
- Understanding of safety legislation.
- High degree of knowledge around Design for Manufacture.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX or similar) for model and drawing creation.
- Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcentre or similar).
- Professional qualification in an engineering related field.
- Baseline Personnel Security Standard at minimum; other security vetting levels may be required.
