As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, leading lessons where required, delivering interventions, and helping pupils reach their full potential. Vacancy: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Aylesbury Contract: Long-term contract until July 2027 Pay: £110 – £130 per day Start Date: September 2026 Key Responsibilities Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality lessons across the primary age range. Lead whole-class teaching in the absence of the class teacher where appropriate. Deliver targeted intervention groups and provide additional support for pupils who need it. Contribute to the planning and preparation of engaging lessons. Support the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress. Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.The Successful Candidate Will Have HLTA status or relevant qualifications and experience. Experience working within a primary school setting. A good understanding of the UK National Curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
