Overview
Purpose of the role: to manage and develop existing and new products and/or services; ownership of related customer and colleague journeys; develop the product strategy; drive change through execution teams; make key decisions in the product lifecycle; own outcomes for customers, colleagues and the bank; ensure appropriate service level agreements, regulatory compliance, risk management and controls.
Responsibilities
- Develop customer-level strategies and solutions tailored to customers’ needs. Act as Subject Matter Expert in the applicable product/proposition team and guide stakeholders at all levels in the Bank on the application of existing and new products/propositions and related customer and colleague journeys.
- Develop product propositions or service strategy, define priorities for delivering outcomes, and lead execution of those priorities.
- Develop different commercial and business models with a strong understanding of the financial drivers of the P&L for the relevant segment/proposition/journey.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, legal compliance, and potential risks in the development and launch of new products.
- Monitor market trends and gather feedback from internal employees and target customers through prototypes, user testing sessions, and beta programs to identify areas for improvement before launch.
- Manage comprehensive launch plans and technical deployments for products, establishing rollout timelines, marketing strategies, training initiatives and communications to promote launches.
- Monitor key metrics (adoption, usage, customer satisfaction including complaints, revenue) to assess performance against goals.
- Contribute to strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets, policies, and maintain processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies and procedures.
- If managing a team, define jobs and responsibilities, plan for future needs and operations, and counsel employees on performance and pay decisions; lead specialists to influence operations in line with strategic and tactical priorities while balancing budgets and schedules.

- Advise key stakeholders and management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact; manage and mitigate risks; strengthen controls related to the work of the team.

- Own the lifecycle of finance admin delivery through embedded services products that shape the user experience for business clients using digital channels; drive collaboration across internal teams and external partners to enable rapid scale and differentiated customer value; bring a commercial mindset and deliver regulatory-ready solutions powered by real-time transaction data.
- Seek external candidates with substantial Product Management experience from tech, SaaS, or FinTech, with disciplined product discovery and roadmaps, data-led prioritisation, and experience scaling customer-facing digital propositions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with product ownership in business admin tools/journeys (Embedded Services) and API capabilities within the SME market.
- Experience managing relationships with external partners; setting and executing roadmaps; collaborating with Design and Engineers in a scaled agile framework.
- Product management experience in B2B supply chain, accounts receivables, invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliation workflows; preferably in Tech, SaaS, accounting/ERP software or FinTech.
- Ability to design customer-led propositions that improve collections and working capital outcomes for SMEs; build commercially-led roadmap choices across customer experience, operational efficiency, payment volume, control, and ecosystem partnerships.
- Ability to work across partner integrations, UX, data, technology and operations to deliver scalable receivables journeys from discovery to launch.
- Valued skills include driving commercial outcomes from embedded services; experience using AI tools for productivity.
- Proven ability to assess risk and controls, manage change and transformation, demonstrate business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital/technology skills.
- Location flexibility: London, Manchester, or Northampton.
